Officiating tonight- shocking

Lino and ref both absolutely terrible. Almost everything going Arsenal’s way.

Another thing to do with added time - my impression is that the officials generally add more than is wasted (over normal time and legitimate added time).
Are there any stats on this?

Thanks Jon. It's basically up to the ref, I know, but although it remains that the rule is that the game only gets extended beyond the 90 minutes, plus added time, for a penalty, it's common now for games to be extended not just for free kicks but if a team is on the attack (a clear disadvantage for whichever team happens to be defending at that moment). It seems to have crept in over time without becoming official. Anyway...

62, the extra time is a minimum of x minutes etc. Let's face it, there will be time wasting in that extra time so if after x minutes is up and one team has a corner or free kick etc the ref is entitled to allow them to take it if he feels the defending team have wasted time I guess. It is one of the games many gray areas and another one that never seems to go for us. On last night I didn't think the ref was that bad but did chuckle when Noble went to ground expecting a free kick and then got up to try and shield the ball and got a proper kicking to get the free kick. The replay showed the first tackle was straight him and should have been a free kick. As stated, those ones always seem to get given against us but not for us for some reason. Still, it all evens itself out over the season (what a load of bollocks that statement is).

What the fuck is that about? And how do you know what I call myself? Just to make it a bit clearer: I think I do know what the rule is (that a game is only extended for a penalty), but I'm asking why they don't adhere to it. If I'm wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

I thought he was a cunt as well. However, when a side has 70% possession of the ball they are going to get more free kicks than the side with 30% possession

Moss gave a last ditch penalty for Spurs a few years ago to deny us a win.

I thought the officials were spot on last night and that he manged the game really well with only 1 yellow card being dished out.

Not the worse we have seen.
I will say on the replay of the Lanzini penalty shout, Xhaka ignores the ball and runs straight at him in the box. Happens a lot I know when a ball is going out of bounds but if you want something under "seen them given" that is as much there as the overhead kick block by Cresswell.

It would have been nice if they had chucked on another ball for us to play with.

I think most people just want consistency from referees however strict or lenient they are The feeling IN THE GROUND was that there was a different level for each team. Our players appeared to need to be raped for a free kick while every little soft touch was enough for them Became laughable by the end where there were a series of tussles near the touchline with both teams involved ... ARSENAL free kick EVERY time

So some on here are saying the ref and lino are shit as they correctly gave an offside for Arnies goal even though if we was a massive club that would have stood?? Oh come on.... you should have been in the boozer with all the Goons jumping up and down for a pen with Girouds overhead kick that cannons off Cresswell arm.... yeah blatant that.... I thought the officials done Ok

Why was the game extended to allow Arsenal to take the free kick at the end? I thought games could only be extended for a penalty. It happens all the time, but I'd like to know if this is official policy.
